Each leg is separate and you "step into" the second leg, forming a criss crossing "O" at the behind and exposed front. We were a little confused when we tried them, but the end result was worth it -- we always like something different. These are very delicate and sheer, so they require great care in putting them on! 80% Nylon/20% Lycra. We find these run small and do not recommended for tall gals or ladies with long legs. According to the manufacturer's package, Queen fits up to 250 lbs, but we do not recommend over 200 lbs. for best fit.
